We invite you to the 39th annual Carstairs Beef and Barley Days Festival. Free entry. July 17 - 19.
The Carstairs & District Agricultural Society is celebrating 50 years. Join us to celebrate together in Carstairs, Alberta, Canada!

Community Parade:
Theme “Salute to Agriculture”
Celebrate the backbone of our community with this year’s theme, Salute to Agriculture! Join us as we honor the farmers, ranchers, and producers who keep our tables full, with tractors, harvest displays, and plenty of country pride.
We welcome community members, local organizations and businesses to participate in the parade.
To register for the Lion’s Parade please contact the Carstairs Lions at 403-796-4881 (call/text) or email. Please note the Lions must be made aware of any animals (ex. horses) which are in the parade for safety & sanitation purposes.

Where: Carstairs Curling Club, 315 Veterans Way, Carstairs“Kick off Carstairs Beef & Barley Days 2026 with a cold one in hand and your community all around you at the second annual Barley Brewfest.
Coming in hot and crisp- celebrating the rich roots of our local agriculture with a showcase of Alberta's finest craft breweries and distillers. Featuring a handpicked lineup of beer, cider, spirits, and non-alcoholic options from local breweries and distilleries who know their way around a good pour. Some returning favorites and some new and fresh creations.
This event is hosted by the Carstairs & District Agricultural Society. Pre-sale tickets are $10. Tickets purchased at the door are $15. Once inside, drink tokens are $2 each and many samples begin at 1 token. Tokens can be purchased with cash, debit or credit.”

Thank you to the Carstairs Lions for organizing the annual parade.

Getting Here & Parking:
Carstairs is located about 5 minutes west of Highway 2, between the towns of Crossfield and Didsbury. We are about 40 minutes north of Calgary city limits, and 25 minutes north of Airdrie.
During the parade, there will be road closures along the parade route, which opens up once the parade is done. Street parking is available in adjacent communities. All street parking is free throughout town, but please respect handicap and fire hydrant zones.

Harvestfest Dinner
Join us on Saturday October 26th at the Carstairs Community Hall
to celebrate the Fall season at Harvestfest 2024!
Doors open at 5:00pm, Dinner served at 6:00pm.
Dinner will be a traditional slow roasted beef dinner with all the fixings, followed by a “Make your own” ice cream sundae. The evening will have a silent auction and 50/50 draw with Live Music by “Moon Glow” at 9pm.
Proceeds of this fundraiser will support ongoing maintenance and upgrades to the Carstairs Curling Club Building which is used by community groups for events year round.

Celebrate Arbor Day and come to see what is growing at the Carstairs Nature Space!

Join us for activities, demos and guided nature walks to celebrate Arbor Day. The first 100 participants will receive a White Spruce seedling!

Onsite sign-up is required for the Guided Junior Nature walk and the Guided Nature Walk. Tours are complimentary. Please sign-up at the main Nature Space entrance with event volunteers.

Celebrate Arbor Day with the Carstairs Public Library!
Starting on May 8th, grab your scavenger hunt list at the Library, at the Carstairs Nature space starting or a digital copy via the Library social media channels and start your search. The hunt will be on until May 15th. Once you complete your hunt, stop by the library to submit your scavenger hunt list and enter to win prizes!
