Carstairs Nature Space
Visit the Carstairs Nature space to experience nature in an urban setting. The site is approximately 19 acres and located south of the the Carstairs Rodeo Grounds between the neighbourhoods of Meadowpark and Carriage Lane.
Most species of trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials planted are native or have been naturalized to Central Alberta.
The project is a collaboration between the Town of Carstairs and the Carstairs and District Agricultural Society. The Town of Carstairs has been working on the site for many years, along with numerous volunteers. The formal committee was formed in 2018. Development continues to carry on as funds are raised and donations allow.
The Carstairs Nature Space thanks the Government of Alberta for supporting this project through the Community Facility Enhancement Program. This funding has allowed this project to grow!
